The Fattoria Nittardi is located in the heart of Tuscany and boasts a long history. One of the more famous owners of the estate was Michelangelo Buonarroti, who owned the winery in the sixteenth century. Art is still an important part of this winery to this day. Gallery owner Peter Femfert and his wife Stefania Canali, a historian from Venice, took over the management of the estate in 1982 after several changes of ownership. To honour the artistic talents of the previous owner, a small number of bottles of wine are adorned every year with a label and silk paper. Today the winery is run by Stefanias and Peter’s son Leon.
