"Ever since the estate was founded in 1849, von Winning has been dedicated to produce unique wines reflecting the vineyards in Ruppertsberg, Deidesheim, and Forst. The winery, which until 2007 was known as Dr. Deinhart, is located in Deidesheim on the German Wine Route. With numerous awards, Von Winning is today regarded as one of the top wineries of the Pfalz region and Germany.
The Mediterranean, mild and warm climate and well-drained soils of the Palatinate region allows fig and lemon trees to flourish. Along the von Winning winery grow many citrus and tangerine trees which gave birth to idea to name this Riesling ""Tangerine Tree"". The label shows orange, stylized, integrated tangerine fruits. The Tangerine tree is in China a symbol for wealth and good fortune and is often used as gift for the Chinese New Year. Not just the label shows oranges the aroma of this Riesling is also dominated by intense notes of citrus, pineapple and oranges. The wine tempts you with its luxurious sweetness.
