For over 250 years the families at the Kimich estate have been dedicating their lives to the growing of wine. Five generations of the Kimich family continued the life work of Andreas Kimich, who founded the traditional winery in 1758 in Deidesheim. Since 1973 the winery is run by the Arnold family.
The Riesling grapes are from the vineyard Deidesheimer Langenmorgen which is situated on eastward facing slopes with intensive early sunshine and cooling down period in the afternoon on red sandstone soils. The name (Langenmorgen) consists of two parts. 'Lange' refers to its longish shape and 'Morgen' to a formerly used measure of land. This Riesling is a fresh wine with typical aromas of citrus and juicy peach. A crisp Riesling - easy to drink and difficult to resist!
