In many ways, the Karl Pfaffmann winery reflects the recent history of the Southern Palatinate. Through specialisation and a great striving for quality, a highly awarded winery was created from a mixed operation. Today, the second and third generations are in charge: Karl Pfaffmann's son Helmut and his wife Sigrid are responsible for sales. His son Markus graduated in viticulture and cellar management in Geisenheim. He and his sister Stefanie are already the third generation at the helm of this family business, responsible for viticulture and vinification.
The wine has a pale yellow colour in the glass.
The aroma is reminiscent of oranges, apricots, some pineapple and herbs.
This is reflected on the palate. This Pinot Blanc is an elegant, fresh and fruity wine for mild summer days and the summer cuisine that goes with it. For example, a crisp, fresh salad with melon and roasted mushrooms.
